Copyright Management Office Mission The Health Sciences Copyright Management Office supports the faculty, staff, and students of The Ohio State University Health Sciences Center by providing education and guidance on the application of copyright law to facilitate the Health Science Center’s education, research, and patient care services.
Copyright Policies
Each individual in the Ohio State University community is responsible for understanding and complying with the copyright laws of the United States, Title 17, U.S. Code, and when applicable, of foreign countries. In accordance with U.S. copyright law, the university reserves the right to terminate system access of users who seriously or repeatedly infringe on the rights of copyright owners. Ohio State University faculty, staff, and students also must consider the Ohio State University policies on intellectual property, patents, and copyrights. Obtaining Permission to Use Copyrighted Works The Health Sciences Copyright Management Office helps students, faculty, and staff members at the Ohio State University Health Sciences Center seek copyright permissions needed in conjunction with teaching and research. We are available to help you even if your copyright permission request is not related to library use.
